Young Explorers Toying with Us

I ordered over $200 (only 6 items) of merchandise from Young Explorers for Christmas on December 5th. Using their guidelines I chose regular shipping (the site stated that items ship within 3 days and then will be received within 7-10 business days).

However, they didn't ship my items on time.

In fact, one package went out 7 days late and one went out 10 days late. "They" (as the customer service rep) decided not to use priority shipping to make any holiday deadlines. Therefore, none of the toys I ordered will be delivered by the holiday.

Additionally, no proactive communication was made to me as of 12/17 (imagine if I had waited until the 21st??!!) and there was "no way" they could ship another order fast enough. They don't offer an overnight service under any circumstances.

To add insult to injury the customer service line had me on hold for 34 minutes!! before someone answered. At that time I was informed that no supervisor would possibly be able to address my problem and that she couldn't keep me on her line so someone would call me back. I provided 3 numbers for them to reach me and monitored my phones non-stop.

Of course, they DID call...and let it ring once and HUNG UP when I answered (no doubt this is to show that they actually "tried" to reach me).

This whole experience has been the worst ever and with the only alternative being having no toys to give on Christmas morning I can only imagine what the next few days of scrambling around for gifts will mean for me!!

I strongly advise anyone not to use Young Explorers as it is too risky to jeopardize missing an event and they are not willing to manage their shipments and warehouse to ensure that customers are satisfied.
