I think hollister has very cute clothes but they over price there clothes and then I can only afford one or two shirts. They should lower there prices.

response to moms hollister article
by: Anonymous

As being a employee at Abercrombie i have had to deal with these sorts of situations a lot. What i have come to believe is that people like the one who wrote this "article" are SELF CENTERED STUCK UP IGNORANT people.
We are just doing our job, if you (the person who wrote this) have such a problem with this store then you should realize that we really don't need your $18.50 or even $12.50 purchase. you can take your ridgefield attitude of everything revolving around you to another store because im sorry but we would really really really rather have you do that... that and/or not bitch about it on a web page

..get a life :)

Hollister lacks business ethics
by: Terri Chapman

I had a similar incident. I tried to purchase a pair of jeans that had the "original" tag clearly marked $39.99. When checking out, the jeans rang up $49.99. I questioned the price and the manager pointed out a barely noticable clear sticker on the upper portion of the tag marked with the $49.99 price. The manager said she would not honor the "original" lower price because corporate office made them raise prices.

I called the corporate customer service number with no success. I was told the next level to contact was the CEO himself, Mike Jeffries. Well, I researched Mr. Jeffries on the internet and do not think he really cares. He seems to be described as a grandious, greedy man that is only interested in "cool people". I do not think he really cares about a $10 savings when he earns a multi-million dollar income. Since he is over 60 years old-I doubt he really cares how other perceive him, nor would he consider changing his philosophy that has made him a very rich man.

My advice is the same as yours- NEVER buy another Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch product again. I do not blame the store staff for lacking business ethics when they are just working under the philosophy of the corporate office.

!

If you waited 20 minutes in line just imagine how many people were in the store looking through the stuff, and messing up piles of clothes sometimes just to look at them not intending to buy them .
You would be amazed how many people throw things on other shelfs or in corners in the store just because of their liking not because they belong there.Isn't that rude?

It's against their store policy to give you credit for that. If I would wander around the store and kept on finding things that don't belong in the right place I would be rich by now.

Why wouldn't you look at the price tag, I bet it also said 18.90 on it ! If something is on sale then it has a second price sticker on it like in most of the store running a clearance.

You're Wrong...

By LAW they do not have to give you the mistaken price. As long as it is an honest mistake and they take action to correct it they do not have to give it to you at the mistaken price.

The fact is they can likely sell at that 18.50 price, and there is a possibility they may get in trouble from management if they sell it a lower price when they don't have to.

People in retail make mistakes. I'm sure you can't honestly say you've never made a mistake at your own job?

I used to work in retail and customer like you made me so mad. Ranting and raving like you know the law, but in reality your just making yourself look like an idiot.
