Our service to you... a free help desk software directory, where suppliers can submit information on their free tools, and visitors who have had experience with that tools can grade it and comment on it. I've been working in support (both sales and IT) for some years now, and found that keeping track of each customer request or inquiry is extremely important for measuring the performance in delivering solutions.

People often ask what the functions I'm looking for in help desk software. There's quite a lot to cover, since the support job is such a versatile one. I recently took the time to list those functions, so if you'd like to know, check out my list of most important functions of help desk and bug tracking software.
