British customers

What does a British customer expect from a customer service executive, what are the best ways to make a British customer listen to us?

Answer

Well... I'm not British. So I cannot pretend to know what British people expect or don't expect from customer service reps.

But I guess that it's not much different from other customers:
  • Being listened to;

  • Straight answers;

  • Acknowledgment of their feelings;

  • Issues are resolved, rather than shoved around like a hot potatoe;

  • Some form of apology (not a guilt trip, but genuinly expressing that you're sorry it has happened to that customer).

There you have my take on it: Against popular belief, the British are just like other human beings! :-D

Kind regards,

Erwin.
