British customers

What does a British customer expect from a customer service executive, what are the best ways to make a British customer listen to us?
Answer
Date: February 12th, 2008.Well... I'm not British. So I cannot pretend to know what British people expect or don't expect from customer service reps.
But I guess that it's not much different from other customers:
- Being listened to;
- Straight answers;
- Acknowledgment of their feelings;
- Issues are resolved, rather than shoved around like a hot potatoe;
- Some form of apology (not a guilt trip, but genuinly expressing that you're sorry it has happened to that customer).
There you have my take on it: Against popular belief, the British are just like other human beings! :-D
Kind regards,
Erwin.
