Superb customer service is key to make loyal advocates out of your customers. In this issue:
1. 8 Keys to Good Customer Service
8 Keys to Good Customer ServiceIf you have the keys to good customer service, you have access to minds and
hearts of customers. It isn't hard to learn these key principles... the proof of
the pudding is in the eating! Talk is cheap as they say.
Read my 8 keys to good customer service Where are the Downloads?Recently I received a number of e-mails of subscribers asking for the location of the free e-book downloads... Now, when you entered and submitted your subscription data, the link to the Member Info Point (as it is arbitrarily called) is on the page that is shown then. Obviously some of you missed it then, or forgot to bookmark it. It happens. So, if you're still in the dark, or were afraid to ask, here's the address of the Member Info Point. Don't forget to bookmark it now, as I will remove this link from the back issues soon...
*** link removed, only for subscribers to Customer Servings! *** Want other Quotes in the Screen Saver? If you've downloaded and installed our cool quotes screen saver, you may have wanted to add favorite quotes of your own to it. Well, you can! Let me explain to you how to do that! On installing the screen saver, two files were added to your PC. A little program with the extension '.scr' and a tab-delimited text file. You can find the location in the screen saver settings. Here's how to: Click on your Windows Start button, and then choose Control Panel. From Classic view, find the icon for 'Display' and double click it. In the dialog screen choose tab 'Screen Saver'. In the Category view, click 'Appearance and Themes', and then 'Choose a Screen saver'. Here's a screen shot:
Here, click on 'Settings'. Then, from the Settings screen (see below) you can find the location of the text file (standard is C:\Windows\System32\ssQuotes.txt). You could also create a file in a totally different location (a network drive for instance) and link to that file from here if you like. Or change the speed of the curtains closing and the time the quotes are shown.
Now navigate to that file and add or change data with Notepad. Or build a new quotes file and enter the new location in this screen. What you need to know is how the file is built up... one quote per line, it starts with the quote (if you want to force a line break in it, just add '\n' (without the quotes) at the spot you want the line to break). After the quote, enter a tab, and then the name of the person quoted. Example: People expect good service\nbut few are willing to give
it.(tab)ROBERT GATELY You can add quotes to your hearts content. Enjoy! We're going on a Cruise!
As you may know, customerservicepoint.com was created with a system called Site Build It! (SBI!). On the SBI! Forums, someone was talking about going on a cruise, all expenses paid by the money made through his SBI! site. This spawned the idea of going on a cruise with a whole bunch of fellow SBIers paid for by the money we made with our SBI! sites. This idea is now becoming a reality! On January 20th, 2008 we will sail with the Freedom of the Seas, to enjoy a week of luxury. To capture the excitement, and to have a spot to put all the pictures after the fact, I've started a web site: www.sbi-cruise.com. Check it out if you like! And if you are wondering what SBI! is about, and why it has made our site so succesful that we can go on this luxury vacation, check out our personal story.
